| Maybe this is due to the fact that I grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa. In fact, my parents still farm many acres in O'Brien County. When choosing a career, I hoped to find a way to marry my passion for ag with my talent for writing. That's what led me to develop this niche in business as the "Farm-Girl Copywriter." |
As a youngster, I was a proud 4-Her with numerous blue-ribbon exhibits at the county and state fair. I was even awarded the prestigious honor of being named Outstanding 4-H Farm Girl in O'Brien County! ![]() |
| I can drive tractors and combines, plus operate other farm equipment and implements. I know about raising livestock, applying crop chemicals, and more. I've studied agronomy, biotech, genetics, precision farming/GPS, and environmental issues. More importantly, I understand the life and business of farming and can relate to farmers, producers, growers, ranchers, or whatever term you use for someone who makes a living off the land. |
| While my original roots are Midwestern based, I also have a knowledge of other geographic areas and am willing to learn about any specialty crop, practice, or piece of equipment. |
| My talent is turning technical topics into an effective sales pitch in any medium -- print/collateral, broadcast/video, web or editorial. My work is on-target, on-time and on-budget, giving clients added value from our relationship. |

| While I'm capable of servicing a variety of consumer-focused clients, I prefer to leverage my farm upbringing and extensive ag experience to service agricultural and industrial companies. With my farm-girl background, ag expertise and love of learning, I can offer agribusiness clients truly "knowledgeable" creative. |

This philosophy was best summarized by Tom Monaghan, founder of Domino's, famous for the niche of speedy pizza delivery. He attributes his success to "a fanatical FOCUS on doing ONE thing well."
